Lockport - William H. Kemp AKA Butch, Bruce, Bill entered into rest on December 9, 2016. Born on June 12, 1950, he is the son of the late Ralph and Ruth (Patterson) Kemp. He is also predeceased by his siblings, Audrey, John and Samuel.
Butch served in the Vietnam War as an Air Borne Ranger. He worked at General Motors for thirty years before retiring in 1998, then he worked in retirement at the Wurlitzer building, Metalico, Crossett, Inc. and Walmart. Butch was the current Sachem (Board Member) at the Redmen Tioga Club and a long-term member of the Navy Marine Club and a member of the Lockport and Lewiston Moose Lodges. He enjoyed coin collecting, his 1986 Corvette pace car and his family. He will be remembered as the most loving and selfless person our Lord put on this earth.
Surviving him is his beloved soulmate, Mary M. Kemp; his brother, Pat (Patricia) Kemp; his children, Christopher and Chandy Kemp, Jennifer and Mike (Lester), Matthew and Jamie Kemp and Corky Kemp; his step-children, Sherri and Jordan Remick; grandchildren, Ian, Reagan, Marin, Morgan, Ryan and Arya. He will be remembered dearly by many more family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 13th from 11 AM - 2 PM and 4-7 PM at Ross Funeral Home Gaul Chapel in Lockport and funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 AM at the funeral home with a memorial luncheon to follow at the Redmen Club.
