William Luther Briggs, age 80, of Wilson, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at his home. Born June 19, 1936 in Tyrone, PA, William is the son of the late Luther and Olive (Treaster) Briggs.
William married Deloris Smith on December 10, 1955 in Wilson, NY. William worked at Sevenson's Environmental in Niagara Falls, NY, as a truck driver. He enjoyed farming, camping and spending time with his family. He had lived in Wilson since 1954, previously of Pennsylvania.
Surviving William is his wife, Deloris; and son, Robert Briggs. William was predeceased by a daughter, Debra Lawrence. Grandfather of Lynn Draper; brother of Dollie (Junior) Bohn, Betty (Bob) Kelley, Russell Briggs and Butch (Mary) Briggs. William is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane, NY, on Saturday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at 1:00 PM.
