Terry W Thrush

Passed away August 2, 2017 in Niagara Hospice House with his family at his side. He was born September 7, 1945 in Niagara Falls. He is the son of the late Olin H and Miriam E (Brosius) Thrush. Having been raised his whole life in Cambria, he worked for multiple farms in the area. Terry then worked at the Stop and Save Gas Station in Wrights Corners where he met Shirley Flynn in 1965 and wee married May 20, 1967. He joined the Navy Reserves then went active duty being honorable discharged in 1968. After working for Oxy Chemical the Durez Div. in North Tonawanda retiring in 1995 then Bus Driver for Ridge Rd. Express Starpoint School District until 2010 and full time retirement for the past 7 yrs. A Lifetime Member of both the Cambria Congregational Church and Wilson Conservation Club as well as a Navy Veteran. He was an avid sportsman (he did it all) and liked to bowl, play euchre and horse shoes. Terry enjoyed doing yard work, trimming trees, and cooking. He liked to travel and attend the annual Thrush Family Cousins Reunion. Being able to spend time with family and friends was very important to him. Terry is predeceased by his brothers Norman and Olin Thrush. Terry was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. His wife of 50 yrs Shirley survives him as well as his daughter Lynn (Stan) Culverwell, son Mark (Jodie) Thrush, daughter Jennifer (Michael) Baney, daughter Tammy (Robert) Bowers. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren, and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In Lieu of flowers please make any donations to Cambria Congressional Church. Services will be held at Hamilton and Clark Funeral Home 270 Young Street Wilson. Viewing will be held Tues the 8th from 2pm-4pm & 7pm-9pm and Funeral Service will be Wed the 9th at 11am to be followed by a luncheon at the Wilson Conservation Club.
