Shirley M. Tracey (nee Beichner), age 77, of Medina, NY passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2024 in Rochester. Born on February 10, 1947, Shirley dedicated over 25 years as an associate of the Franciscan Sisters of St. Joseph in Hamburg.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Rich Tracey; daughters, Jennifer Pekarski, Heather Wetzel, Erin Hendricks; bonus daughters, Dr. Julie Young, Kate Coleman, Angie Law and Kadie Gauda; siblings, Robin Lehr, Duke Beichner, Wesley Krantz and Jerry Krantz; lifelong friend, Renee Kachigian; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Rutherford Pearce Previte; sister, Sharon Salazar; and parents, Robert and Norma Beichner and Twyla and Gerald Krantz.
An hour of viewing will be held on Saturday, October 12 from 10-11AM, immediately followed by her funeral service at 11AM at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, North Tonawanda. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Sisters of St. Joseph at franciscansistersofsaintjoseph.org.
