Richard E. Woolson, age 85, of Lewiston died on Friday, May 24th, 2024, at home. Richard was born on December 12th, 1938, in Niagara Falls, NY. He is the son of the late Isaac and the late Lorraine (Gladfilter) Woolson. He was a 1957 graduate of Lew-Port High School and honorably served in the United States Army. He married Audrey Butz on June 24th, 1961, she predeceased him on August 18th, 2023.
Richard was employed by GM/Harrison Radiator as a Line Worker for 38 years. He enjoyed time with his family, grape farming, bowling, bird watching, German Shepherd dogs, old tv shows and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Richard was a member of the Cornell Cooperative Ext.; involved in agriculture.
He is survived by three daughters; Sandra (Robert) Woolson-VanDette, Tina (Charles) Pike and Diane (Patrick) Quinn; his grandchildren, P.J, Caitlin and Mary Quinn, Ashley Pike, Sara (Janelle) VanDette and Katie VanDette.
He is predeceased by his grandson, Richard Quinn.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 2nd from 2-6 PM at the Hardison Funeral Homes Inc., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY 14131.
The funeral will be held 11:30 am on Monday, June 3rd at Lockport UCC, 98 East Avenue, Lockport, NY with Pastor Hope Schwartz officiating.
