Mr. Boyer had retired from GM, Harrison Radiator Div. and was their first UAW Health & Safety Representative. He was a member of the Lockport Elks Lodge #41, the South Lockport Vol. Fire Co. (Exempt) and Red Jacket Lodge #646 F&AM;, under whose auspices a Masonic Service will be held Thursday evening at 8:00 PM.

Loving and devoted husband of Linda (nee Knowles) Boyer; dear father of Kathryn (Brian) Petrie, Laurie (Thomas Clare) Joslyn, Amy (Jeffrey Kilroy) Ferrari and the late R. Thomas Boyer, Jr.; grandfather of Scott (fiancee Jerika Boulware) and Blake (Amanda) Boyer, Marayna and Magden Ferrari; great-grandfather of R. Thomas "Tripp" Boyer III and Jocelyn Jane Boyer; brother of Beth (Ray Rousseau) Boyer and the late Carol Altro; several nieces and nephews also survive.
