Lockport, NY - Philip A. Faust passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026 surrounded by his loving wife and family at Erie County Medical Center. Born in Buffalo on April 21, 1947, he was the son of the late William A. and Eileen (nee Schmidt) Faust.

Philip started his GM career in 1965 as a co-op student between GMI (now Kettering) in Flint, Michigan and the GM Tonawanda Foundry. In 1983 he transferred to the GM Danville, Illinois Foundry and earned an MBA. In 1989 he was transferred to Delphi Thermal Systems (Harrison Radiator) in Lockport as a Senior Industrial Engineer until he retired in 2002.

Philip was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, an Eagle Boy Scout, served in the National Guard, and was a member of Brauer's Fishing Club, G9 Management Club, Engineering Society of Buffalo, Air Pollution Society of WNY, Christ Episcopal Church Vestry and the American Foundryman's Society.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, gardening and waterskiing. Philip also liked classic cars and his motorcycle, watching Indy Car and Nascar races. He enjoyed music, concerts and food festivals. He grilled and smoked fish and meat, and made his own maple syrup, soups, beer and wine. He loved being around his family which included going on vacations and doing many other family and holiday activities. He was an avid Bills fan.

Philip and Linda Balzer were married on August 2, 1969. He is survived by his wife Linda (nee Balzer) Faust; father of Russell (Michelle), Carolyn, Christine, Louis (Adrianne) and was predeceased by his son Jeffrey. Dear grandfather of Elizabeth, Amanda, Oliver, Nadia, Evan, Kyle, Max, Vivianna and Beau.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, April 16th and Friday, April 17th from 3-7 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 18th at 10 AM at Christ Episcopal Church, 7145 Fieldcrest Dr, Lockport, NY 14094. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Phil's life in the Parish Hall for lunch after his interment. Online condolences at www.pruddenandkandt.com
