Patricia A. Ward, of the Town of Wheatfield, NY, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at her residence.
She was born in Buffalo, NY, on March 7, 1949, a daughter of the late Edward and Gertrude [McKernan] Cook.
Mrs. Ward was a graduate of Bishop Newman High School, Canisius College and had taught elementary education with various schools in the area.
She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Church where she was the Director of Religious Education.
Mrs. Ward operated a Doll Studio for many years, teaching how to make porcelain dolls. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of several senior groups in the area.
Mrs. Ward was the wife of the late David D. Ward who passed away in March of 2006. She is survived by two sons Andrew (Angela) Ward and Matthew [Paula] Ward, six grandchildren, Brady, Maggie, Daphne, Harper, Gabriel and Elliott, two sisters Arlene Leising and Sandee Lucas, also many nieces and nephews.
Her family will be present on Wednesday from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY
Everyone is invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 4675 Townline Road, Ransomville, NY, with the Rev. James Bastian officiating.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in her name to Immaculate Concept Church Rosary and Altar Society.
Interment at North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.
