Miles Schimert Obituary

Lockport, NY - It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Miles Schimert, whose life brought comfort, peace, and joy to all who knew him.

Miles was the beloved son of Julie and George Muscato, and Paul and Kerri Schimert. He was the cherished twin brother of Alex Schimert (Emily Schimert), with whom he shared a bond that was both lifelong and deeply profound. He was a stepbrother to Alexis Agnello (Jon Agnello), Kenton Muscato, Blake Michael (Hayley Michael), and Paiton Michael (David Cullmer), and a devoted uncle to Austin and Amelia Agnello and Olivia Rosario. He was a treasured grandson of Jean Skop. Miles was preceded in death by his brother, David Schimert, and his grandparents, Francis Skop, Dr. George Schimert, and Florence Schimert.

Miles had a way of lighting up every room he entered, with a laugh that was unmistakably his. He put others at ease and never judged, meeting everyone with a quiet acceptance that honored each person as they were.

Miles graduated from Lockport High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science from Florida Atlantic University. He built a career in the healthcare industry, where he combined his intelligence with a genuine desire to help others. Outside of his work, he was an avid golfer and tennis player, and found fulfillment in reading and writing, often turning to words for reflection and expression.

Though Miles faced struggles in his life, they do not define him. He will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, his warmth, and the way he made others feel.

Miles found a deep sense of purpose at the Chapel at CrossPoint. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel at CrossPoint on Thursday, April 30, 2026.

Though he is now with the Lord, his presence will always be felt. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Horizon Health Services. Visit pruddenandkandt.com
