Michael J. Lee Obituary

Michael J. Lee, age 80 of Newfane, passed away April 5, 2020 at Elderwood at Lockport following a long illness. He was born June 16, 1939 in Buffalo to Bernard and Phyllis (Becker) Lee and was a lifetime resident of this area.

Mike worked for 40 years as a printer for the Colad Group and also spent over 15 years as a school bus driver for Ridge Road Express. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a member and Elder of the Lockport First Presbyterian Church, as well as a committee member of BSA Troop #40 in Wrights Corners. Mike was also a 38-year member of the Wrights Corners Volunteer Fire Department and the Wrights Corners Exempts Benevolent Association. In his spare time, he enjoyed antique cars and camping.

Mr. Lee was predeceased by his first wife, Ladonna.

He is survived by his wife, Faith; son, Jeffrey (Cheryl) Lee of Lockport; daughter, Sandra (David Cox) Mahnke of Lockport; step-daughters, Dr. Martha (Ken Ham) Ludwig of Grand Island, Patricia (Jamie) Mann of Attica; sisters, Lois Seekins, Nancy Perry, both of Lockport; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There are no prior calling hours. Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.

Michael's arrangements have been entrusted to the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Ave., Newfane, NY 14108.
