Matthew Ryan Jesonowski was born in Newfane, NY on November 6, 1991, and at the age of 18, joined the United States Navy. After the Navy, Matthew was planning the next steps of his career and had a bright future ahead of him. Matthew passed away on April 26, 2016. He was 24.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and good friends, football and his favorite team the Seattle Seahawks. Matthew was a bright young man who knew sports statistics unlike anyone else. He always could make you laugh, he was sensitive, caring and had a heart bigger than the ocean. Matthew always thought of others before himself and proved it time and time again.

Matthew is survived by his mother, Mary Barbara Jesonowski; father, John Paul Jesonowski; brother and sister, Jonathan (Melinda) Jesonowski and Stephanie Jesonowski. He leaves behind his nephew and niece, Tyler and Serena Jesonowski; as well as aunts and uncles, cousins and many friends.

Services will be held at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane, NY on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 3-7 PM. Funeral services will be held immediately following with the Father James Hassett officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the American Lung Association.
