Lockport, New York - Lynn J. Bednarek of Lockport, NY passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 76.

She was born on May 13, 1949 in Springville, NY, a daughter of the late Acton and Rhea (Rich) Dunlap. Lynn attended Delevan-Machias Central School, graduating in 1967. She continued her education at the State University College at Buffalo, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics Education in 1971.

While attending college, Lynn married the love of her life, Paul Bednarek, on June 20, 1970 at the former Blessed Sacrament Church in Delevan. Together they shared more than 55 years of marriage. Lynn was a loving and devoted wife and a caring mother to their two daughters. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading, and watching Jeopardy, finding joy in life's simple pleasures.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Bednarek; her daughters, Heather L. (Hailong Qian) Bednarek of St. Louis, Missouri, and Melissa L. Bednarek of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; her granddaughters, Olivia and Madeline Qian; and her sister-in-law, Connie Dunlap of Horseshoe, North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by her brother, Darryl Dunlap.

There will be no prior visitation. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family, with interment in Delevan Cemetery to take place at a later date.
