Lockport, NY - Johndolyn Esdelle Bridwell passed away February 17, 2026 in Green Field Health & Rehabilitation Facility, Lancaster. Born August 28, 1945 in Alton, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late George and Nadean (Seward) Green. Johndolyn left Alton where she first met her husband, Jack, in 1972 to live in Los Angeles. She remet Jack when he went to Los Angeles to attend the 1984 Summer Olympic Games which were being hosted there. They eventually married there in 1987; whereupon she moved to Buffalo with him. Johndolyn worked for Laidlaw Transit for a number of years in which she received a number of driver safety awards while driving a school bus. She also worked for New Directions Wyndham Lawn Home in Lockport as a counselor of a girls cottage. Johndolyn was a 52 year member of SGI-USA and served in a number of capacities including Womens Chapter Leader for Buffalo District. She enjoyed sewing, singing, and designing. One of her favorite memories was of the trip that she took with her husband to the Holy Land.
Johndolyn is survived by her husband Jack Bridwell; two daughters Tamara Curtis and Dina Haynes; and two grandsons Isaiah and Abraham Davis; and two great grandchildren Sebastian and Camilla Davis. Besides her parents she was also predeceased by her brother Herman Green.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Tuesday, February 24th from 3-7 PM at Prudden And Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
