John (Jonathan) J. Weber Obituary
John J. (Jonathan) Weber, age 77, peacefully entered into rest on November 9, 2019. Son of the late Joseph E. and Jean V. (Maldiner) Weber. Dear father of Stephen (Julie) Weber of McKinney, TX and Jennifer Weber (Eric) Flattery of Prosper, TX. Grandfather of Charles and Olivia Weber of McKinney, TX. Brother of the late Anne M. (late Frank) Wildt. He is survived by his siblings, Thomas G. (Susan) of Lyndonville, NY, Katherine J. Weber of Gasport, NY, and Joseph F. (Beth) Weber of Englewood, FL. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his dear friend and neighbor, Janet Cooper.
John was a veteran of the US Navy. He attended Paul Smith's College and earned a degree in Wildlife Biology at North Carolina State. John lived in Wisconsin and worked for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources as a Wildlife Fish and Research Biologist for many years. Upon his retirement, he returned to WNY. He was an avid wildlife photographer, decoy carver, trapper, artist and outdoorsman, and a member of the Genesee Bird's Digest.
There will be no prior visitation. A celebration of John's life will be held at a future date. Memorials may be made in John's memory to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, or Friends of Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge, Inc., 1101 Casey Rd., Basom, NY 14013.
