Olcott, NY - John Raymond Ernest of Olcott, NY husband of Jeri Graham Ernest for over 59 years entered into rest on November 25, 2025, in Florida. He was born in Lockport, NY on May 8, 1946, son of the late Harry Scott Ernest and Edith Noble Ernest.

Father of Jason Noble (Michelle) Ernest, Erika (Brian) Ernest Leo and Jeffrey Graham (Jennifer) Ernest. Grandfather of Evan Ernest, Hayden Ernest, Keaton Ernest, Jackson Kyser, Ashlyn Kyser, Landon Kyser, Couper Leo, Aidan Leo, Martha Leo, John Ernest, Conner Ernest and Taylor Ernest. Brother of Wende (Larry) Weseman, Susan Ernest Miller and the late Peter Ernest. Brother-in-law of Mary Ernest and James (Barbara) Graham. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

John retired after 41 years from Harrison Radiator/Delphi, where he served as Journeyman Millwright. He voluntarily enlisted in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and served on the USS Paul Revere as a Radar Technician. John loved golf and was very proud of his two holes in one and enjoyed the company of his golf friends in Florida and New York. John was an avid Bills fan since 1960 and enjoyed telling stories of his days attending Bills games in the old Rock Pile. Go Bills!

As a young man, he enjoyed playing basketball, baseball, and football for Lockport High School. Later in life he transferred this pleasure to watching his children and his grandchildren play numerous sports. Johns' legacy is that of a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. John was a model family man.

Family and friends may call at the Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 12-3pm with a memorial service at 3pm.
