Newfane, NY - Joan G. Wilson, of Newfane, NY, entered into rest on June 11, 2026, at home. She was born in Buffalo, NY on April 10, 1931, the daughter of the late George J. Gibbs and Thelma S. Cowper Gibbs.

Joan worked as a physical therapist for the Veterans services in Batavia for 35 years. She was an advisory board member at the Genesee Community College, Who's Who's in American Woman and NYS certified long term care ombudsman.

Mother of Peter (Stella) Wilson, George (Sandra) Wilson and the late Michael and Gregory Wilson. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, dear cousins and caretaker Salvatore Gioeli.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 4pm in the Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY 14108. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094.
