Barker, NY - Jeffery D. Higgins of Barker, NY husband of Renee Hout Higgins entered into rest on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in the Niagara Hospice House. He was born in Buffalo, NY on January 11, 1958. The son of William Higgins and the late Judith Mann Higgins. Jeff was a proud member of the UAW, Elks for 20 years, UAW committeeman of 9 years and a machine repairman. He enjoyed being in pool and dart leagues, hunting, fishing and loved his family and pets dearly.

Father of Lauren Higgins, Michael Higgins, Shaun Fimbel and Stephanie Washington. Grandfather of Damian, Maliyah, Dane, Ellie, Aubrey, Paige, Maisy, Ezra, Zella and Layla. Brother of Brien, Kelly, Gary and the late Steven Higgins. Half brother of LeeAnn (Bill) Petronsky and Robert (Lisa) Hillyard. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call at the Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 2-5pm where a funeral service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 11am. Burial will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Following the burial a Celebration of Life will be held at Scruples in Newfane where a luncheon will be provided and cash bar.
