James H. Goodenough, age 45 of Gasport, NY, and Asheboro, NC, died suddenly July 17, 2019 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born June 1, 1974 in Newfane to Herbert and Joanne (White) Goodenough and had lived in this area all his life prior to moving to NC two years ago.

Jim was a member of the Hartland United Methodist Church and the Order of the DeMolay F&AM. He was very mechanically inclined and enjoyed helping his friends working on their various projects. Jim was also a lover of the outdoors.

He is survived by his two children, Gwenna Goodenough and Aaron Goodenough, both of NC; his parents, Herb and Joanne Goodenough of Gasport; his brother, Gary (Jennifer Walters) Goodenough; aunts and uncles, Robert (Sandy) Kelley, Beth (late Roger) White; and several cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main St., Gasport, Tuesday 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM where his Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 10 AM. Interment will be in Hartland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hartland United Methodist Church, 8019 Ridge Rd., Gasport, NY, 14067, or a charity of your choice.
