Hornell, NY - Irene E. Keirn of Lockport passed away November 17, 2025, in Hornell, NY.
Irene was born on February 22, 1940 to John and Irene Body who were deeply rooted in Hungarian culture. As the eldest child, Irene stepped into the role of family navigator early in life. This role shaped her to become a woman of immense capability and resilience. She became the person to whom family turned to for direction and support.
Later in life, Irene enjoyed being an active part of her grandchildren's lives. She was also instrumental in organizing many of her high school reunions.
She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Darr Keirn. She is survived by children Randall (Sheri) Keirn, Darr (Alicia) Keirn II, Denise (Michael) Cendoma and Paula (John) Currie. Also, grandchildren Morgan, John, Sarah, and Caroline.
In honor of Irene, a celebration of life will be held in Spring of 2026.
