Wake Forest, NC - Glenn "Skip" Miller, 88 years old, of Wake Forest, NC passed away on June 27, 2025. Skip was born on June 7, 1937, in Lockport, NY to the late Herbert and Allison Herrick Miller, and spent most of his life in his hometown only moving to Wake Forest NC in 2021.

Skip was a graduate of Lockport Senior High School. While in high school he participated in baseball, football, and gymnastics. After high school, Skip joined the US Army and proudly served our country in Korea.

After his military service, Skip started his 40-year career for General Motors (Harrison Radiator Division), as a tool and die maker. While working for GM, Skip was given the opportunity to work overseas in various countries including Brazil as well as a return to South Korea.

In his younger years, Skip enjoyed playing softball and was a little league umpire and coach. He also enjoyed bowling and hunting small game and deer with his brother, including bow and arrow. He was a lifelong member of the VFW and the Elks Lodge. Skip was a skilled wood worker, making much of the furniture in his home, and was the "go to" guy when anyone in the family or neighborhood had something that needed to be repaired. He was also an avid vegetable gardener and continued to propagate his father-in-laws garlic that made the trip from Italy through Ellis Island. He greatly enjoyed both playing games, (especially bocce and euchre) as well as watching games (any Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres or Toronto Blue Jays).

Skip was predeceased by his brother Forrest Miller. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Johanna Minniti Miller; his son, Kurt Miller and his wife Lisa; his daughters, Robyn Miller and her husband Rick Smoot; and Chandra Miller, and his grandchildren, Kristin Smoot, Ryan Smoot, Cody Miller, Connor Miller, Hunter Miller, and Nathan Vermeer.
