Gerald D. Martin, of the Town of Cambria, NY, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019, in North gate Health Care Facility.

He was born at home in the Town of Cambria on December 6, 1937, the son of the late Norman and Ruth (Abt) Martin.

Mr. Martin graduated from Wilson High School and served with the US Army. He was an operating engineer with Local # 463 Operating Engineers for over 40 years. Mr. Martin drag raced his own car for many years.

He was the husband of the late Karen L. (Close) Martin, who passed away in June of 2007.

Mr. Martin is survived by a son, Jeremy A. (Debra) Martin; and Papa to Andrea, April, Kelli-Lynn, Brandon, Connor and Gabby; two brothers, Gordy (Joan) and Ray Martin; also many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jim Martin.

His family will be present on Thursday from 2-4 zPM and 6-7:30 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, NY, where funeral services will be held at 7:30 PM, with the Rev. Thomas Martin officiating. Inurnment at North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.

Memorials may be made in his name to Niagara Hospice.
