Middleport, NY - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Frederick Ward "Fred" House, who left us peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the age of 81, with his loving family at his side.

Born on April 3, 1944, he was the son of the late Frederick and Ida (Cast) House in Ilion, NY, where he developed a lifelong love of horses at a young age. He owned many horses and spent countless hours at the stables, and love attending rodeos and horse shows. He married the late Sally Rosenbeck, and together they raised two children. He played western polo in a league in Niagara County, and spent a lot of time with his sons when they were kids at the polo arena and riding on trails. He was employed with GM Harrison Radiator for 36 years as a skilled trade painter, retiring in 1999. Fred was full of warmth and joy, and never passed up a chance to take someone's hand to dance, no matter the occasion —whether at church, camp, or a tavern —his spirit lit up the room.

Fred is survived by his two children, Frederick House and Kevin (Krystle) Starlanzia, as well as a sibling: Robert "Bob" House. Also surviving are six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of extended family and friends that will miss his kindness, humor, and the steady rhythm of his ever-present two-step.

Besides his parents and wife, Sally, Fred is predeceased by his sister, Lorraine Gizzarelli and a brother, Brian "Scuffy" House.

Fred will be deeply missed, but we will take comfort in knowing you're dancing under the stars, wearing your boots, with your Lord and Savior.

Relatives and friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Community Fellowship Church, 3144 Johnson Creek Road, Middleport, NY 14105, where a celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorials in Fred's name may be made to the Community Fellowship Church.
