Mill Run, Pennsylvania - Freddy Roy Herman of Mill Run PA, Went to be with his Lord and Savior December 23, 2025.

Born July 29, 1943 in Connellsville, PA to Carl W. Herman and Ethel M. Anderson-Young. He deeply loved his sibling the late Donald R., Pearl (Homer E.), (John L.) Rugg-Yealey, and is survived by his brother Clair W. (Suzzanne) Herman and his sister in-law Carolyn E. Herman.

Fred made his first home in Western New York working as a local mechanic and then joined the UAW as a GMC employee. Upon retirement he moved back to his Pennsylvania roots to the farm of his grandfather. He continued sharing mechanical skill at the Christian Academy Bus Garage and at his "home place" where he worked on equipment, vehicles, raised livestock and planted his fields.

Fred enjoyed years participating in softball, bowling and golf leagues, as well as go carting, snowmobiling, motorcycling and fishing. He was blessed with dear friends and extended family, with whom he shared his pastimes and gift of music. He will be remembered for his guitar playing, car stories, teasing and commitment to family reunions.

He is survived by his wife Anne and their son John Herman. He is also survived by his former wife Claudia Rowe, the mother of his children: Lucas (late Wendy) Herman, daughters Paula (Kenneth) Adams, Sheryl (Jeff) Bates, stepchildren: Susan (Daniel) Fuller, Bonnie Allen, Edward (Carrie) Allen, Heather (Steven) Carey, and Hannah LeFever-Rosh. His brother-in-law George (Sherri) Stahl, Jane (Rick) Hill, the late Claudia (Al) Lobczowski and the late Willamenia (Johnny) Mailoon.

Fred is also survived by his grandchildren Austin Herman, Grace (Nathan Addenbrooke) Herman, Emily (Gregory) Jones, Madeline Adams, Lauren (David) Krull: and Julie Bates. stepgrandchildren include Joseph Maltrup, Zach Fuller; Grace Fuller, Abigail Fuller, Kevin Allen, Adam Allen, Grace Kiefer, Ben Kiefer, Cameron Nagel, Casey LeFever, RaeAnne (Andrew) DeLine, Megan Rosh and Hailey Rosh. His great-grandchildren include Raven Allen, Elizabeth Nagel, Kennedy Nagel, Morris DeLine and Adeline Addenbrooke.

Memorial service will be held at noon January 10, 2026 at the Critchfield Church, 471 Jim Mountain Road, Mill Run, PA 15464. Dinner to follow.
