Francis J. Danielewicz, 78, of Cambria, NY, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, on November 19, 1943, he was the son of the late Frank and Stephania "Stevie" (Siejka) Danielewicz.
Francis entered the United States Marines on September 29, 1966, serving during the Vietnam war. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Marksmanship Rifle Badge and was honorably discharged on March 10, 1967 as a PFC.
After serving his country, Francis returned home to the family farm and also began working at General Motors as a Facilitator in the Tool/Die department, until his retirement.
He is survived by his siblings, Patrick Danielewicz, Gwendolyn (Donald) Hassinger, Stephania (Joe) Ohol, Katherine Danielewicz, Mary Danielewicz- Bryson and Ann Marie (Tom) Fredericks. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday, April 22nd from 6-9 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, corner of Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY. Funeral Services and Burial with Military Honors will be held 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 23rd at Holy Trinity Cemetery, 5401 Roberts Avenue, Lewiston, NY, with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating.
