Everett John Pearson, age 76, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. Born in Gasport on February 13, 1941, Everett is the son of the late John and Mildred (Retchless) Pearson.
Everett was a graduate of Roy-Hart High School. He entered the Army in 1963 and served until 1965 during the Korean War. He married Judy Buri October 20, 1978. Judy died on March 30, 2016. Everett was a lifetime member of the Gasport Chemical Hose Fire Company, serving as Chairman of the Fire Commissioners and the American Legion Post 1253 of Gasport. Everett loved spending time with his family, playing cards and when he was younger he was a horse trainer and jumper winning numerous ribbons and trophies for EL-CLE Stables in Gasport.
Surviving Everett are his children, Kelly (Mike) Ramming, Troy Donahue, Tammy Morana, Tina (the late Louis) Destino, David (Darlene) Donahue, Chris (Janet) Donahue and Cory (Courtney) Donahue; brother of Phillis Goheen, Norman (Joan) Pearson, George (Nancy) Pearson and Lee (Polly) Pearson. He was predeceased by siblings, Ora Coleman, Wayne Pearson, Norma Eisenhauer and J. Melvin Pearson. Everett is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport, on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11 AM. Interment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
