Eugene C. Mayer age 96 August 9, 2018, he is survived by his children Carol (Braden) Wallace; Gary (Kelly) and John (Holly) Mayer; Also eight grandchildren. Predeceasing is his wife Clare (Skillman) Mayer whom he married in 1951 and a son George who died in 1972. Mr. Mayer was born in Oswego, NY to Frank A. and Marcella (Campbell) Mayer. He graduated with a graduate teaching degree from Oswego State University of NY in 1952 and moved to Lockport to teach industrial arts at Lockport High School. In addition to teaching he maintained a local locksmith business and was an active member of the area's HAM radio club. A private ceremony is planned with the family and a celebration of life open to the many friends he had in the Lockport area is planned for next month rossfuneraldirectors.com
