Ed LiPuma passed away on Easter Sunday peacefully with his sons nearby, at the age of 81.
Ed was a 1955 graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School and earned his BA degree at Iona College in 1959. Ed spent his professional life in Colorado, then moved to Wilson in 2006 to live with his son, Robert, who works for Lockport City School District.
He enjoyed playing tennis, coaching Joshua's sports teams and spending time with his friends in Wilson and Lockport.
He is survived by his brother, Thomas; his three sons, Richard, Robert and David; and his six grandchildren, Christopher, Joshua, Nicholas, Rachel, Rebecca and Andrew.
The family will receive friends at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 E. Avenue, Newfane, on Wednesday, April 24, from 2:00-4:00 PM only. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Habitat For Humanity.
