Edward Robert Butler Obituary

Edward Robert Butler of Newfane, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 following a short illness. Edward was born on May 5, 1930 in Lockport, NY. He retired from the Harrison Radiator division of General Motors in 1992. Edward enjoyed home restoration, landscaping and watching vintage westerns.


Son of the late: Glen and Helen (Consavage) Butler of Lockport, NY. Father of: Thomas Butler of New York and James (Jackie) Butler of North Carolina. Brother of: Glen Butler of Lockport, NY and the late Floyd Butler of Lockport, the late Sylvia J. Larkin and Anna Mae Wedeman. Brother -in-law of: Al Larkin of Lockport. Grandfather of: Brian, Kevin, Glen and Lisa Butler and great-Grandfather of 3. Edward is also survived by several nieces and nephews.


Edward was a US Army Korean War veteran serving with the 7th infantry division.


Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM from the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home 6139 East Avenue, Newfane, NY. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday from the funeral home at 11:00 AM.
