Dorothy Jean Craine, of Newfane, age 85, entered into rest on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport. Born on December 9, 1930 in North Tonawanda, Dorothy is the daughter of the late Eugene and Florence (Shirbach) Martin.

Dorothy enjoyed reading, watching Wheel of Fortune and anything sweet. Before having children, she worked as a beautician. Dorothy had lived in the Newfane area for 51 years, previously of Buffalo.

Surviving are her children, Raymond Steinagle, Martin Steinagle, Florence (John) Layman, Ruth Steinagle, Dorothy Steinagle, Kenneth Craine and Grace Pajak. Sister of William (Dorothy) Martin and the late Ruth Graser. Also survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane on Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM from the funeral home.
