Punta Gorda, Florida - On July 16, 2025 with family by her side and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Dolores Jean (White) Boka, Master Gardener, of Punta Gorda, Florida, formally of Lockport, NY, at Tidewell Hospice.

Upon being encouraged by friends, Dolores and her beloved dog Chloe, moved to Punta Gorda, Florida. Easily making many new friends at Sacred Heart Church, Rivers Edge Community, Master Gardeners of UF and Charlotte County Recreation Pickleball Group, who quickly became her "Florida Family".

With knowledge and a love of gardening, Dolores became a volunteer at University of Florida, IFAS Extension, eventually earning her "Florida Master Gardener Degree".

Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Victorine (Brennan) White, brothers-in-law Ronald Dingman and George Linton. Survived by sisters Mary Dingman, Joan Linton, Tammy (Perry) Savile, and brothers Paul (Lily) White, Joseph (Mary) White, Patrick (Nancy Chung) White. Along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, who always looked forward to "Aunt Dodo's" return visits to Canada.

At Dolores' request there will be no visitation, with cremation having taken place, she will return to Stratford, Ontario, Canada. Dolores' family wishes to thank all her dear friends and those involved in her care, at home, Fawcett Hospital, and Tidwell Hospice.
