Deane Arlan Quintern, age 81, of Gasport, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, February 20, 2016 while being surrounded by his loving family at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born on October 18, 1934 in Medina, NY, Deane is the son of the late Earl and Avis (Groff) Quintern.

Deane married his devoted true love of 58 years, Doris Riemer, on December 22, 1957 and always put her first - until his final breath. He was a proud and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother. He loved the Sabres, Bills and Yankees (not the officiating). He also enjoyed puzzles, gardening and spending time with family. Deane had a strong faith in his Lord. Deane worked at Territory Wholesale in Medina as a Branch Manager.

Surviving Deane is his loving wife, Doris; and cherished children, Eileen (Ron) Gawel of Niagara Falls, William (Pamela) Quintern of Maryland, David (Darla) Quintern of Ransomville, Jeanne Quintern of Gasport and Jennifer Atherton of Orlando, Florida. Deane was predeceased by a son, John Quintern; and a grandson: Robbie. Brother of Duane (Liz) Quintern of Florida and the late Nancy and Walter Kartechner, Karen Quintern and Marlene Maier. Deane is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Zion Lutheran Church, 4447 Central Avenue, Gasport, NY on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 10 AM until 12 noon. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12 Noon with the Reverend Rodney Klinzing officiating. Interment will be in Huskey Cemetery, Gasport, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Niagara Hospice.
