David F. Fraass, Sr.
David F. Fraass, Sr., of Pendleton, entered into rest Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Niagara Hospice. Born October 18,1937 in Pendleton, he was the son of the late Andrew and Ruth (Peterson) Fraass .
David graduated from LSHS in 1956. He served in the US Army where he was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky. David was a carpenter for many years with Beiter & Spoth, a member of Good Shepherd Church where he also served as the caretaker for the church, school and cemetery. David was also a volunteer at the Pendleton Food Pantry. Besides a strong love for his family, he also enjoyed gardening, woodworking and being a UB Bulls fan. Beloved husband of 59 years to Mary D. (Hitzges) Fraass; devoted father of David (Cathleen) Fraass, Jr.,of Pendleton, Jennifer (Rick) Tomm of Pendleton, and Leah (Scott) Simonetti of St. James, NY; cherished grandfather of Joshua, Nicholas, Jaimie, Maura, Samuel, Macey, Tessa, Ellie, Brooke, Aubrey and Lilah.; dear brother of Marilyn Coughlin, Kenneth (Linda) Fraass, Sharon (John) Carroll and the late Paul (Marie) Fraass. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Provenzano Memorial Chapel, Transit & Niagara Sts. (same location as Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home), on Monday from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Good Shepherd Church, 5442 Tonawanda Creek Rd. on Tuesday morning at 10 AM (please assemble at church). Interment Good Shepherd Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, N.Y. 14094, would be appreciated by the family.
