Betty Jo Jackson Obituary

Betty Jo Jackson, age 89, of Albion, passed away peacefully January 6th at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 10th, 1934 in Flemingsburg, Kentucky to the late Nelle Payne (Webb).

Betty proudly served in the United States Navy for three years. She worked for Harrison's for 30 years and retired in 1995. She enjoyed traveling the world with her brother John and sister-in-law Sandy for many years while living in North Carolina. She moved back to New York in 2017 and enjoyed spending more time with family and friends especially her great-grandsons Gaven and Gunner.

She was predeceased by her father Joseph Payne and her daughters, Anne Jackson (Haluska), Barbra Bedard and Diane Jackson (Hain).

She is survived by her son, Michael Jackson; brothers John (Sandy) Payne, Joe (Andi) Payne; sister Carol Rhoades; grandchildren Nicholas (Ashley) Jackson, Joshua Jackson, Stephanie Bedard, Erich Hildebrant and Ashley Leslie. Also many nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.

Her burial and Military Honors will take place on Friday, May 10th at 10am at Western New York National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Rd, Corfu, NY 14036.

Donations can be made in her name to the ALS foundation to honor her daughter Anne.

Betty's arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home of Albion, NY.
