Betty A. Hager, April 18, 2018 in Eastern Niagara Hospital with her family at her side. Born on June 8, 1942 in Buffalo, she was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Eleanor (Engler) Ventura and sister/sister-in-law of the late Marie (Ventura) and Jim Godden.
A graduate of Depew High School she worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of WNY retiring in 1992 and was also a homemaker for many years. Betty enjoyed knitting, quilting, traveling, golf and spending time with family and friends especially her grandchildren.
Surviving is her husband of 48 years John J. Hager of Lockport; daughter, Michelle (Paul Dubiel) Hager of Amherst, Michael Hager of Lockport and Edward (Jennifer) Hager of Lockport. Also survived by her grandchildren, Collin, Olivia and Jillian; sister, Helene (Frank) Zielinski of New Hampshire; and her nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be Monday from 3-8 PM in the Ross Funeral Home Gaul Chapel, 263 East Avenue, Lockport, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM.
