Agnes V. Kagels
Agnes "Aggie" Kagels entered into rest on January 25, 2020 after a brief illness. Aggie was born on January 10, 1932 in Buffalo, NY, to the late Charlotte and Jon Kazmierczak.
Following her retirement from Intercommunity Memorial Hospital, Aggie spent many years volunteering at the St. Andrews Community Store where she became a familiar face to many.
She is predeceased by her husband, James; son, David (Susan - living); and her siblings, Monica Kolb, John Kazmierczak, and Norbert "Corky" Kazmierczak. She is survived by her sons, Jon (Carla Buchheit) Kagels and Gary Kagels. She was the proud grandmother of ten, Nicholas (Laura) Kagels, Jonalee Payne, Kelly Kagels, Anthony Kagels, Jessica (Brian) Gast, Daniel Kagels, Jason Kagels, Holly (Justin Updegrove) Kagels, Elizabeth Rhoades and Ellen (Kevin Luckman) Kagels. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; dear friend, Robin Boetcher; and many nieces and nephews. Aggie had a lifelong love of animals and leaves behind her devoted canine companion, Bailey.
Family and friends may call at the Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY, on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 5-8 PM where a Memorial Service will be on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 11 AM. Inurnment will be Corwin Cemetery.

I have known Jon for years through my friendship with Robin Boetcher. This gave me many opportunities to get to know Aggie. She definitely loved her family and thought the world of Robin. She was such a sweet woman and she will be greatly missed by all.
