James R. Lawley of Barker, NY, husband of Connie Dunn Lawley and the late Linda Christiansen Lawley, entered into rest at home on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. Born on January 10, 1943 in Buffalo, NY, to the late Thomas and Betty Shear Lawley.
Jim was retired from the New York State Liquor Authority as the executive officer of the Erie-Niagara district and later had an automotive business. He was a member of the Somerset Conservation Club and was involved with the Somerset/Barker Youth Baseball league for over 25 years. His passions were cars and baseball.
Surviving is his wife Connie; sons, Sean (Melinda) Lawley, Patrick (Carolyn) Lawley, Mike (Morgan) Lawley; step-sons, Jeffrey Wick and Brian (Susan) Wick; a brother, Thomas (Christine) Lawley; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Patrick, Michael, Sarah, Isabella, James, Thomas, Linda, Sloan and Sam. Also surviving are nine step-grandchildren, two nephews and a niece.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on TUESDAY, March 7th at 12 Noon at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1708 Pallister Ave., Barker, NY 14012. Inurnment will be in Somerset Cemetery.
