James Allen Harper passed away suddenly on March 7, 2017 at the age of 78. He was born in Lockport on September 26, 1938. He was the son of the late Alice (Bull) and John T. Harper. He was married to his wife, Lorene (Moore) Harper for 56 years.
He retired from GM in 2000 after 32 years. He was a member of The Redman Club and the Elks. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, playing cards and traveling.
He was predeceased by his sons, Alan Harper and Steven Harper. He was also predeceased by his siblings, John Jr. (Rita) Harper, Robert (Patricia) Harper, William Harper, Joseph (SHirley) Harper, Donald (Linda) Harper and Jessie (George) Corser and Dawn Harper. He is survived by six grandchildren, Cynthia Fox, Amanda (Brian) Gardner, Megan (Anthony) Fuller, Joshua Harper, Zachary Harper, Steven John Harper and severn great-grandchildren. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
