Gary Wayne's Story

Gary Wayne Gursling, 77, of Morristown, passed away at his home Saturday, March 25, 2017. He was born in Lockport, NY on April 19, 1939 to Clarence and Martha Gritzmacher Gursling.
Gary served in the United States Army from 1964-66 and was stationed in Germany. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service 27 years in Lockport, NY. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Gary enjoyed spending time with his family, his church, hunting, fishing, watching sports and old westerns.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sue (Kempton) Harding; daughter, Connie Gursling Beyers of Texas; son, Eric (Kelli) Harding of Talbott, TN; grandchildren, Matthew Harding and Rylye Harding of Talbott, TN and Andrew Beyers of Texas; brother, Ronald (Rose) Gursling, Lockport, NY; sisters-in-law, Mary (Joe) Deptula and Marie Kempton; Victoria Ocampo, a dedicated and loving Home Health Aid; several nieces, nephews, and a very special great-niece, Megan Kempton.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the funeral service at 3:00 PM with Reverend Mike Cutshaw and UT Hospice Chaplain, Daniel Tipton presiding.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either Trinity United Methodist Church of Morristown or UT Hospice of Tennessee in honor of Gary.
Allen Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
