Clyde A. Dimmick, of Lockport, NY, entered into rest surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 20, 2017. Born August 12, 1935 in Lockport, NY, he was the son of the late Paul Carey and Myrtle Alexander.
Clyde attended Lockport schools and served in the US Army during the Korean war. He was employed at Vandemark Chemicals for 15 years and retired from Noury Chemical. In his spare time, he did collision and paint work for Mullane Motors. Clyde was a member of the B. Leo Dolan Post 410 American Legion and the IOOB Club. He enjoyed woodworking, restoring automobiles, trucks and motorcycles. Clyde was a history buff, and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Beloved husband of the late Mary E. (Clark) Dimmick; devoted father of Valerie Dimmick, Clayton Dimmick (Donna Benedict), and Chad Dimmick. Cherished grandfather of Dillon Olear; dear brother of the late Arlene Sims; fond uncle of Fay Carey and the late Duane Carey. Clyde is greatly loved and will be dearly missed by his many friends.
Friends may call at Provenzano Memorial Chapel, 70 Niagara St. at Transit (same location as Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home) on Saturday (February 4) from 10-1 PM for a gathering in Clyde's memory.
Donations to the Niagara County SPCA to honor Clyde's K-9 companion, Suzie, would be appreciated by the family.
