Yolanda's Story

Yolanda Louise Thompson went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 6, 2017. Born to Italian immigrant parents in Lockport on July 5, 1940, she was a lifelong western New York resident. Known to family and friends as 'Yolly,' she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but most of all, she loved the Lord.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Howard A. Thompson; son, Stephen Thompson of Nashville, TN; and daughter, Shari (Joseph) Hahn of Pendleton, NY; grandchildren, Adam Hahn of Charlotte, NC, Aaron Hahn, Sarah (Abraham) Kuehn and Elizabeth (Michael) Hermann, all of Lockport; and great-grandchildren, Rachel, Broderick, Amos, Gwenevere and Layla; brother, Carl (Lee) Luberti of Akron, NY; and sister, Edie Aldridge of Las Vegas, NV; as well as the late Mary (Donald) McArthur and Rene (Paul) Coleman, both of FL; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY, on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 10 AM to 12 PM with a service following at 12 PM.
