Richard's Story

Richard R. Hake passed away on May 8, 2017 in Absolut of Gasport. Born on May 22, 1936 in Clarence, NY, he was the son of Louis and Mildred (Krull) Hake.
Richard worked for Red Star Express Lines in Williamsville where he was a diesel mechanic for 42 years. He was also a volunteer fireman with Rapids Volunteer Fire Co. for 45 years, and volunteered with the Raymond Hill Food Bank, served with the Royalton Town Board for 16 years, Boy Scout Troop 51 for 24 years and attended Lockport Alliance Church.
Richard is survived by his wife, Glenna (Doetterl) Hake; children, Richard (Lee) Hake, Susan Botticelli, Sandra Henrikson, Karen (Robert) Neu, and Ronald (Andrea) Hake; his ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Frey.
Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, May 13th from 10-11:30 AM. Services following at 11:30 AM in Lockport Alliance Church, 555 Davison Rd., Lockport.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Rapids Volunteer Fire Company would be appreciated.
