In 1997, Laubacker was appointed the Vicar Provincial of his community in the USA, at the same time serving as Vice-President of the Forum of Major Superiors of men religious (Institute of Religious Life) in the USA. For many years he served as chaplain and was honored as a "faithful friar" for the Knights of Columbus (LeRoy and Batavia, NY) as well as being a faithful 4th degree Knight himself. Rev.
