Patricia Conniff Attfield Patricia Conniff Attfield went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 1, 2018 at the age of 71. Pat was a devoted wife, mother, nana and friend. She will be greatly missed by many, but she is now happily reunited with the love of her life, Alfred Attfield, who predeceased her in 2007. Born May 30, 1947 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of William and Ellen Marie (Rickard) Conniff.
Pat graduated from Maryvale Central School in 1965. She earned an Associates degree from Niagara County Community College and a BA in English Literature from the University at Buffalo.
In 1968 she married Alfred G. Attfield in Williamsville, NY. Later that year Al and Pat entered the VISTA Program which took them to North Carolina. While working for the Cumberland County Community Action Program she made a huge difference in the lives of many.
Pat was a gifted teacher who touched the lives of many. She taught English at Christian Academy of Western New York for many years. She was a strong woman of faith and she demonstrated this through her words and actions. Pat was a long time member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Wilson. She used her time and talents to teach Bible Studies and Sunday school. She was a resident of Wilson for over 40 years.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Beth (Jeffrey) Pyskaty of Lockport, Rebecca Attfield of Sanborn, and Andrew Attfield of Wilson; as well as her grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, and Daniel Pyskaty. She is also survived by two brothers, William (Alice) Conniff of Panama City, FL, and James (Nancy) Conniff of Getzville; and a sister-in-law, Kathleen (David) Forsythe of Lacey, WA. She was aunt to Erik (Cassandra) Conniff and Liam Conniff.
Friends may come to call on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 4-8 PM at Hamilton and Clark Funeral Home, Young St., Wilson. A service to celebrate Pat's life will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 431 Lake St., Wilson, starting at 10:00 AM. Internment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Wilson, NY, directly following the service.
