Mary Jane's Story
Mary Jane, 99, died on April 7, 2018 in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was born on May 11, 1918 in Lockport, New York. Mary Jane was the daughter of the late John and Anne Ritzenthaler.
Mary Jane received her teaching degree from University of Buffalo and spent two years teaching in Hawaii after World War II. Mary Jane changed careers in the late 1940's and chose a lifetime career in the airline industry. She was employed by Pan American airlines and then Eastern Airlines until she retired in 1985. She lived in Miami and traveled extensively around the world and was always eager for a new adventure.
Mary Jane was loved by her extended family and brought joy and a sense of fun to every family gathering. Her Catholic religion played an important part in her life and she was faithful in her beliefs. Generous in both spirit and deed, her kindness impacted her family and friends and she will be greatly missed.
She is predeceased by her three brothers, John, Gene, and Paul.
Mary Jane is survived and will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
