May 30, 1945 - August 03, 2018

Marian A. Nugent, 73, entered into rest on August 3, 2018. Born in Buffalo on May 30, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Loretta Weinholtz Nugent.
Born and raised in South Buffalo, proud of her Irish-German heritage, often boasting of her history growing up in the old 1st Ward, Cobblestone District. Marian was a true Buffalo sports fan, always supporting the Bills and Sabres. She will not only be remembered for her love and devotion to friends and family, but also for her humor and way of telling a story to keep all entertained and also for putting others above herself.
Marian is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Robert) Drake; grandmother of Nicole (John) Kay, Jacquelynne (Chad Zuchowski) Hackmer, Kelsey (John Carnes) Hackmer, Abby Drake and the late William Hackmer, Jr.; great-grandmother of Cameron, Jaxson, Hailey, Chad, Kayli, Kaleb and Jennavieve. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her extended family, Rose and Kathy Kushniruk; and her companion, Rusty. Besides her grandson, Marian is predeceased by her siblings, Loretta "Sissy" DiChristopher, John Nugent and Jeremiah "Jerry" Nugent.
Friends may call on Wednesday, August 8th, 4-8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 9th at 10 AM in All Saints RC Parish, 76 Church Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.

Aunt Marion...i will miss you greatly...we share so many memories of my life as a youngster...you were my downstairs "sister" and my protector. i was secretly jealous that you were the lucky one to live with Grandma and Grandpa. When you met Rose (38 years ago) i was so glad that you finally found a partner and soul mate that made you happy and took care of you. I know you are at peace now and having a cup of sweet tea with my mom and sharing stories...and you are once again happy to be reunited with grandma and grandpa. See you all again one day...heat up the tea kettle for me! I love you...Carol Ann
