Lynda J. (nee Yeoman) Gomesky, formerly of Lockport, NY, passed away on July 26, 2017. She was born on April 24, 1942 and was raised in Webster, NY, the daughter of Philip and Dorothy Yeoman.
She met her beloved husband of 45 years, the late James E. Gomesky, at Alfred State College and the two were married in May 1962. Together they raised three daughters, Beth (Andrew) Einbinder, Jill (John) Hickey and Renee (George) Woloszyn. Lynda worked for New York Telephone for 20 years as an operator before retiring to Pompano Beach, FL. She was an active member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, the Kenan Herb Club and the Pompano Beach Garden Club. Lynda loved to travel the world and felt most at home at the ocean.
Along with her three daughters, she is survived by a sister, Virginia (Richard) Strazzeri; a brother, Donald Yeoman; eight grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Queen of Heaven Cemetery Chapel, 6843 Tonawanda Creek Rd., Lockport, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
