Laurance 'Larry''s Story

Laurance J. 'Larry' Jackson, age 65, died unexpectedly at his home in Lockport on Thursday, October 19, 2017. Larry was born on January 2, 1952 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late G. Thomas, and Virginia 'Ginny' (Wainman) Jackson.
He grew up in Youngstown and was a 1970 graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Buffalo State Teachers College. A U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam, Larry served from 1971 to 1975. He was a self employed carpenter for many years. Larry also was a drummer and member of Buffalo Musicians Local #92. On July 8, 2005 he married Lisa Nenni and moved to Lockport.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Rebecca, Joshua, and Sarah Jackson; his step-children, Gina (Andrew) Rak, Michael Haefner, and Lindsay (Nicholas) Neadow; a sister, Susan (Winston) Collins; and a brother, Bill Jackson.
A Celebration of Larry's Life will be held on Saturday, October 21st from 12 Noon - 7 PM at his home, 314 East Avenue, Lockport. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville.
