Joseph P. Mularz of Barker, NY, beloved husband of Nancy E. (Learn) Mularz, entered into rest suddenly on February 26, 2017 on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. He was born on November 13, 1946, in East Lemon, PA to the late Walter Mularz Sr. and Julia (Korasiewicz) Mularz. Predeceased by his parents and his sister, Jean (Mularz) McCune.
Joseph retired from the New York Army National Guard and GM in Lockport, NY. He served in Vietnam with the 57th AHC. He was a member of the Somerset Conservation Club in Barker, NY and Ridgewood Bible Church, in Lockport, NY. Joseph enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states and many national parks. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
He was the father to Tracey (Michael) Bowerman, Appleton, NY, Victoria (John) Hollenbaugh, Appleton, NY, Paula (James) Bachman, Barker, NY, and Veronica (Chad) Alaimo, Albany, NY. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Helen (Steve) Duda, JuliaAnna (Jay) Holden; and two brothers, Mitchell Mularz and Walter (Cynthia) Mularz; survived by many sister and brother in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main Street, Newfane, NY on Thursday evening from 7-9 PM on March 9th, Friday, March 10th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. His funeral service will be held at Ridgewood Bible Church, 7073 Ridge Road, Lockport, NY at 11 AM on Saturday, March 11, 2017. Burial will be at Wrights Corners Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Ridgewood Bible Church, Disabled American Veterans or the NRA.
