John L. Sokolofsky passed away on January 7, 2018 in Eastern Niagara Hospital. Born in Lackawanna on June 22, 1944, he is the son of John A. and Helen (Custard) Sokolofsky.
John worked for Occidental Chemical in Lockport and Wilmington where he was a senior lab technician. He enjoyed playing Jeopardy, hunting, fishing, and was an avid gun collector.
John is survived by his wife, Candace (Delahunt) Sokolofsky; children, Mark (Janice) Sokolofsky and Kristine Sokolofsky; sisters-in-law, Sharon (Bill) Papin, Toni Delahunt; brother-in-law, Paul Patterson; grandsons, Nicholas Sokolofsky and Josiah Walker; siblings, Bette Jean (Rick) Lennert, Paul, and David; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, January 12th from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 13th at 10 AM. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery with military honors.
