James Harold's Story
James Harold Morey, 72, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, on Upper Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks. He was born in Lockport, NY on December 23, 1944.
Jim was a retiree of SUNY Institute of Technology Utica. During his career, he was also a hospital administrator, CPA, and consultant to many health care systems.
Jim was an avid lover of Harbor Freight Tools, Rodney Dangerfield and Chevy Chase movies, and his Boston Red Sox. His legacy will live on in the cabin that he lovingly restored over his 39 years of ownership.
Predeceased by his parents, Harold and Helen Morey. Survived by his wife, Virginia Morey; children, Sarah (Joe) Morey Montemaro, James (Susan Powell) Morey; grandchildren, Joseph James, Caroline, and Collin Montemaro; sisters, Jean (William) Morey Conley and Carol (Thomas) Morey Foster; cousin, Milton (Noreen) Farley; nieces and nephews; and dog, Parker.
James's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, September 2nd at 1:00 PM at St. Bernard's Church, 27 St. Bernard St., Saranac Lake. A celebration of life will follow at his summer home.
